ButterBASH, Peppermint, Puffers and Bikes. November 2017.

The first Wednesday in November is always BUTTERBASH! At least, I hope :) I told David I should be a trend forecaster, I am all about the trends of sales.
Unfortunately, this year, butter was 2.49 a box, in the past it's been 1.99, but I guess everything is going up.

Preston, Brooks and I were there first thing...Brooks took his Golden Grahams to-go.
It was a good day, we got 90 pounds of butter (I went back for 20 more boxes) and saved $218.10!
Butter wasn't the only good deal I found in November, I also found these two rugs from Magnolia Home, (who doesn't love Fixer Upper?) for a great deal. I LOVED πŸ‘‡this one, but really, with three little boys and a poodle, this isn't a great choice for a high-traffic area, like our living room.
I like this one too, but, haha, I just love that white and black. But, this one turned out to be a perfect fit! It's got a lot of pattern, and no white, we've been using it for 6-months and it still looks perfect. Haha, and then, I just put our old rug underneath (which had the rubber backing) so I didn't have to get a non-slip mat. Yay!
This summer I plan on re-finishing the coffee table, haha, we all know how much I like that :)
As a bonus, I ended up selling the black and white one on ksl for enough to pay for the blue rug and make $60 Wahoo!
Tub time always takes a while, and I always end up wet. But we all have fun!
 Brooks LOVES trucks!
 Oh how Dash has grown!
Haha, and this is why Brooks and Dash are such good friends... Brooks sneaks Dash food, and Dash lets Brooks in his crate.
 Brooks and Dash.
Granny and the Babies. Oh how I love that chair.

You can tell it's Monday πŸ‘‡πŸš›
It's great, whatever the month, to be outside.
Trip to the goat farm. I called and asked my sweet friend if she would make Peppermint soap for me, it's my favorite, and she only makes it around Christmas. I LOVE it! The boys always enjoy a visit to the goat farm! Especially Brooks, he'd love a goat.
I'd been looking around for a coat thing for Dash, but they were way more than I wanted to pay. I got this vest at Savers, it had real down...which is great, because after all, Dash is a bird dog. And then I worked my magic..
into the perfect poodle-puffer! Haha, a million feathers filled the basement from the vest during the process, but it was well worth it :)

 Another seasonal favorite!
Not that I have a shop, or anything to put in these bags, or customers to give this stuff to, but I was chosen to be a part of American Express's Small Business Saturday.
It was exciting to open up the box with all the treasures in the mail.
haha, if anyone needs a canvas bag... I have 20

All bundled up for our bike ride.

June Hikes, Bikes, Naps and The Iceberg.

This is my FAVORITE chair! David and Brooks seem to like it too :)
All the boys practicing their biking skills
 Brooksers cheeks :)
 Hiking up at Silver Lake
Hayden and Preston checking out the baby fish...which I just learned today at a baby shower, are called "fries"
 Hayden and Mom
 Hayden and Preston

 Blonde little Brooks
Keeping it Aggie style, even in the yard :)
When they trenched our yard, we thought they trenched right through Hayden's little garden. He was very distraught over his Chocolate Flower, however, they self-seed and quite a few babies popped out :)
Haha, this is not an uncommon sight at our house
We planted peas this year, actually, we plant peas every year. We weren't very consistent about water (because we were working so hard on all our sprinklers ) so they didn't produce many, but anything you can gather from the garden is fun :)
And you know it's summer, when you are gathered at the iceberg. Fran and Gary joined us, of course ordering a Cherry-Chocolate Chip. We probably ended up with Peanut Butter Chocolate chip, chocolate chip cookie dough and pineapple marshmallow...or something odd like that :)

January 2017.

January was a long time ago, let's see what we remember...
Katie got Brooks drool bibs from Copper Pearl. Best. Things. Ever. Somehow, they keep his shirts totally dry, even if the bib is soaked. Brooks was 7 months in January, after drooling non-stop for 6 months, he finally got two bottom teeth at 10-months.
A new year wouldn't be complete without a friendly health challenge competition. The original plan was to go 3-months. We lasted one. And each day I amended the rules a little more... one sweet a week, to one a day. No soda...diet coke is okay. I can tell you from experience, people who eat salad are grumpy.
Brooks at 7-months. Sweet baby. He never sleeps during the day, but makes up for sleeping all through the night.
We've gone back and forth on Brooksie's eye color, but I think we have settled on brown. They aren't chocolate brown like the other two, but they are a dark brown/gray, a nice compliment to his golden blonde hair.
It's always a great day when the babies can sit up in the cart and you don't have to deal with the car seat in the store. Preston has pre-school on Friday, so Brooks and I are on our own for two hours, we usually go shopping. It's great.
Preston and Hayden both got storm trooper costumes for Christmas. Preston loves to wear it, and it is versatile. It can be used as a stormtrooper, Darth Vadar, Astronaut, etc... and it's usually on backwards because that's how he can get it on by himself. This particular day, Preston was wearing it eating the best cheesecake ever...
Vanilla Bean with Carmel Sauce. Yum, yum-o. The carmel sauce would be great on cardboard, but it's especially delicious on this cheesecake.
Our fancy snowflakes. Hayden is still the only child represented, I guess you know who the favorite is...

We sure have enjoyed Brooksie's puffer suit, it keeps him all toasty in the chilly winter.
The boys and I on a bike ride. There was so much snow this winter...but I guess not this day. We are susceptible to cabin fever, the boys love to be outside! When it's 40 degrees outside (so, warmer than inside our house) the boys are ready to be out!
Preston has discovered than he loves to fold laundry. He's such a helper and is in charge of all the soft pants...lucky for him, we have about forty-thousand pair.
...and just to throw it in there... the pj's that I got from Saver's that didn't have any feet. I thought I was being such an awesome Mom by finding zip-up fireman jams for Preston...until I got home and David pointed out that the footies were cut off. I just hemmed them up, good as new!
My little helper Mustard is also the resident Paper Shredder. What a helper!
Train Day. There is lots of fun, and a fair amount of fighting, but these two are the best.
Some snow.
Trying to get a picture of all three looking/smiling... never going to happen.
Little Einsteins. Granny gave Hayden a cool science kit for Christmas, we've been having lots of fun with colors, liquids, electricity etc.
Preston finally graduated to Sunbeams, and gave his first talk in primary. What a sweetie.

Haha, I am always one for making up my own recipes. This is my "noodle chicken soup" haha, I wasn't very fond of it, but Hayden was in love, which means it was a total success!
Little Preston loves hoops and hooks and levers and anything that he can engineer into something handy. Brookie's hoops for example, excellent light saber belt.
Got all the boys' emergency packs ready to go...now a few months later, it's time to update all the food and clothing. A mess I am not looking forward to.
...and you're never too young to appreciate the garbage truck. My boys always have a garbage truck shirt on every Monday.
