Egg-cellent Easter.

One of the best things about Easter? Marshmallow Eggs!
A couple days before Easter, Hayden, David, my mom and I went to my Grandma Woodward's to make marshmallow eggs. Delicious. We made three batches: coconut (my favorite), vanilla and tropical delight (lemon and coconut). They were all delicious.

Hayden supervised.
First, you make molds by pushing plastic eggs into flour.
Here's the recipe in case anyone is interested. I am thinking May-Day Mallows.
While we were inside making eggs, my mom was pruning Grandma's roses. Hayden went out to supervise that for a while too.
The eggs turned out delicious by the third batch. Practice makes perfect.
On Easter, after Hayden ate a little breakfast, we went back into his room and noticed that the Easter Bunny had made a visit. The three of us got baskets, but let's just say Hayden's was the best.

He got some eggs.
An orange Camelback. (He loves ours and sometimes even gets water out. But he drools a lot so we decided to get him one of his own.)
A pink plastic jellybean...and a slinky, some pants, and squash baby food. Simple pleasures.
Then it was time for the hunt. Hayden doesn't crawl yet, but he sure can roll! We tried to entice him with eggs..it didn't work.
Easter night we went to my Aunt Pat's house for dinner and to Celebrate birthdays. Katie, my cousin Amanda and I all have birthdays within a few weeks. David made Easter chick and bunny cupcakes. Cute.
...and Hayden helped to unwrap the gifts.
