Dash and Brooks are the best of friends. They are the same size...unlike Bernie who is 10x Brookser's size 😬 Dash is 5 months and Brooks is about 18 months
Early fall is such a wonderful time in the garden, these are my "pink marshmallow" fuchsia in the front.
I got this growth chart at Savers (favorite!) about a year ago...it had a couple names on it, but who cares. Haha, Preston and I finally got to painting it
And now it's a blank slate, good as new to mark how tall the boys are getting. And me, but I doubt I'll get taller :)
I love the impatiens in the front, but once they get zapped by the cold, they turn to sludge. Unfortunately we had an early cold zapper, so Preston was such a good helper to get them out
But look at those hosts and ligularia😍
Of course Preston couldn't just dig/pull out the the impatiens...he had to karate chop them first :)
New things to plant, yay! I got this maidenhair fern at the farmer's market, I am excited to see how it winters over. The guy told me it would...fingers crossed
Japanese Painted Fern, love love.
One day, at Granny's house, Preston bopped his head on the corner of the china cabinet and cracked it open. So Baby Mustard and I headed over to the InstaCare for some staples to the noggin. ...and so we called him "Ninja Mustard"
It is so fun in the fall to dig up the potatoes and pick the pumpkins

Some more fall garden clean-up... Preston pulled out the sweet potato vine..and lo and behold, sweet potatoes!
So, he cut them up
And check out what's inside.
Pansy planting.
My favorite! Toad Lilies, I thought that they were totally trenched over with the sprinklers, but surprise!
