Moab. Octoberish 2017

Moab will always hold a place in my heart. Since it's Thursday, let's throw it back...to 2005. 13 years ago
Haha, and then a mere 10 years ago, in 2008.

The above picture is mainly to show the longevity of my chaos.... I got them in 2007, and still wear the same pair 11 years later. Yay for chaos!

We had been waiting all year to take the boys to Moab. When went when Hayden was just a little, like 2 months old....it wasn't that fun with a two-mouther.
So we packed everyone up, including Scott, Bee, Granny and Grandpa, and headed out.
Spanish Fork Canyon had beautiful fall colors. Pictures just don't do things justice.
Brookser on the long drive.
The first night we got settled in to the condo, and then headed to Pasta Jays and the T-Shirt shop. #AlwaysAnAggie
The next day we headed into Arches. Love Love Love Arches.
David with Brooks on back, Scott with hair on hat, Bee with a baby belly and Granny with selfie-stick.
Katie and Preston.
David and Brooks
All the boys, in all their chacos. And Aggie shirts.
Smiley Brooks
We made it! Yay! It's always so fun to go around that corner and then, BAM, there's the arch.

Britt (23), Brooks (17 months), Preston (4), Hayden (7)
Grand babies.
Preston, Hayden and Katie.
Same.
Preston, Brooks and Hayden. I must say, I do love the hats, it's easier to spot and keep track of the boys.
Preston.
While I do love Delicate Arch, SandDune Arch is my FAVORITE!...It turned out to be the boys favorite too, they would have loved to stay there all day. It's a short, flat hike. In the shade. Full of silky sand.

We stayed there quite a while, it's that much fun!
The boys worked on their Junior Ranger during the car ride.
Preston
Haydo.
It was a full car, but we appreciated that Granny and Grandpa have their Parks Pass :)
The boys earned their Junior Ranger
The next day, we went out on the RZRs....as we were headed to the trail...it started to rain.
Really Hard. We took shelter at the park under the pavilion.
It cleared up pretty quickly and we were back on the trail. We headed to Poison Spider. Since you drive down Potash Road, there were lots of waterfalls off the sheer cliffs from the rain, pretty amazing.
Lunch pit stop.
Back on the Trail.

Again, pictures can not capture the terrifying experience that is Moab. Haha, it's scary, but then, when you are done, and still alive, it was the best thing ever! Haha, it's like that.

Brooks loved it :)
Party Wagon!

So, we actually didn't make it all the way to the end of the trail, haha, we are older now, and realize the fragility of life. So here it what we saw 10 years ago....when we did make it to the end of the trail :)

The next day we headed back on the trail, this time to Hell's Revenge. A Classic.
Brooks is ready to go...the boys in helmets always look, to me, like they are ready to be shot out of a cannon!
Seriously, you can not tell that this is super steep, and really scary for me.

Or that that little trail is going straight up that rock, like straight up.

Due to time, we decided not to finish the trail...the boys were sad about that

But we came out alive, so we were happy about that!

Haha, and then we had to come back home. And we were all really sad about that.
Until next time Moab.
