Mustard turns 4!

My sweet little Mustard tuned four years old the day before Valentine's! His birthday was on a Monday, and David also had PT conferences, so we started a little early and prolonged the party a while after his birthday...that's my style.
We started by heading to Midvale Mining for breakfast. Yum yum-o.
Then we had birthday ice cream, Cinnamon Vanilla, that Baby Mustard has good taste.

For the boys birthday we line the halls with the number of their age and streamers on their door...for Preston I totally forgot. After he got up, while he was in going to the bathroom I hurried and set it all up, and just acted like it had been there the whole time :)

And what can be better than a birthday scone....

For a fun birthday activity, the boys and I went to the wholesaler to get some Valentine's flowers. I know it's a Monday, because Preston is wearing his garbage shirt :)
...a fyi tip...during Valentine's season, roses go up $1 per stem...no other flowers go up in cost, including "spray roses." So, if you have to get roses, get spray roses, or opt for anything else.  But there were a lot to choose from
Great helpers bundled up in the cooler
Our sweet friend Jan-a-ah who works at the wholesaler knew it was Preston's birthday and gave him four special balloons. That made him a happy little camper. And she always lets the boys get a free "gerb"
Since it was his birthday, I let my little soda-lover share a diet coke with me with his lunch.
We got stargazer lilies (one of my favorites!...David thinks they stink) and iris, so pretty and they last forever...all those little lily buds will eventually open. They are pricey, but you get a lot of bang for your buck.
It wasn't great weather on Preston's birthday, plus David had PT conferences, so we waited until the weekend to make the annual birthday voyage to the carwash. Something we all look forward to, 7 bucks well spent.
Preston David Mustard Everett is a silly, helpful, snuggly little angel. He loves to help, give loves, run knock you over and sing all sorts of songs. He loves to be outside, or inside. He loves chicken nuggets, chicken pot pie and soda. His eyes get slitty when he smiles, especially when he's trying to be sneaky. His hair grows fast, and he tells me he's more like a lion (with a giant mane) than a vulture (who's bald.) He loves to read and can memorize a book after hearing it once. He's a sweet big brother to Brooks and a fun little brother for Haydo. There's never a dull-moment, love our Baby Mustard.
