The second weekend of February was Party Time! Preston's Birthday, Valentine's and President's Day...PLUS David got a four day weekend, wahoo!
On Valentine's Day David got up early, let me sleep in, and made fancy breakfast with heart decor.
The boys followed the trail of hearts down to the fancy table complete with cherubs.
You know it's fancy when we break out the cherub candle sticks and Sunny D.
David hand-carved the hearts in the toads. Haha, and of course, everyone (Hayden) was trying to steal the toasted center. The boys were excited for their Valentines.
The boys helped David make Preston's cake for his party....and of course tried the batter.
Then we played "Hide the Heart"...a Valentine's Day version of "Hot or Cold" where we hid the heart candy box. We were just trying to kill time before naps, but it was a hit!
David and I had steak and purple potatoes for dinner. Mustard joined us. Hayden was totally happy with his grilled cheese. We loved all the potatoes we grew. We are definetly growing more this year. LOTS more.
...and we topped off the weekend with a sleepover in the living room. Simple pleasure.
