Crawdading.

Before I get to the story of the most exciting Crawdading trip we've had....please notice my two boys wearing the right kind of blue....

A couple Saturdays ago we were up at the cabin and decided to go crawdad fishing. For all of you city folk, that is where you tie a chicken leg on to a string and throw the string out into the lake, holding the other end of the string. A few minutes later, you wade out a few feet into the lake and pull in your line while simultaneously holding a colander which you scoop up the crawdads with. Friday night my mom left the package of chicken legs out so they would get nice and stinky. Crawdads like that. Saturday mid-afternoon (since everyone but David, Hayden and I slept in) we were off to Strawberry. Arriving at the lake, we realize no chicken legs, they are home on the counter, rotting. A quick 45 min drive later, we have gone back to Heber, gotten chicken legs and we are back at the lake. This post however is for one reason...the picture below...
You see my mom thought it might be nice to show Hayden a crawdad. And Hayden thought it might be nice to touch it. The Crawdad thought it might be nice to chomp Hayden's finger. See below...
However, the day was not a complete loss, we caught lots of crawdads, 221, and everyone, even Hayden had a good time.
